update on $500,000 Safety Grant

Hello Neighbors, Thank you for coming to the meeting last week to discuss the upcoming $500,000 safety project. Some great ideas were presented. Ed, Irene and myself drove the road with the borough engineers working on the project. They agreed to all our suggestions including holding the open house at Moose Creek Community Center and itemizing the cost of each request. The open house will be sometime mid winter.

Notes from RSA meeting on September 20, 2011 to discuss safety project

Attending: Stu Davies, Irene Coben, Mike Ganley, Dan Rees, Warren Smith, Chris Illingworth, Duane Hofschulte, Robyn Davies

Request itemize all estimates so we can prioritize at open house

Request open house held at Moose Creek Community Center

Bus turnaround – at end of RSA

Turnouts - 100 feet long, 20 feet wide, gravel recommendation
· Expand Cowpie – last priority
· Expand intersection with OVT
· Expand intersection with Sebaugh
· Tobin driveway

Fix corners at Sebaugh to Sawmill to culverts
· Clear inside corners to 50 feet from centerline
· Widen road in narrow/steep spots 8 feet

Add asphalt to areas where side is sloughing off – start at beginning of road
Fix dips at corner at 2 mile – fill with asphalt
Corner at end of EFR- start of OVT, bank properly & add D-1 (gravel recommendation)
Inside of all corners – clear to 50 feet
Can we use gravel from the farm road?
